Dealing With Sin
Dealing With Sin
Sin…What is Sin, How does it control Us and in Our Lives?
Sin, is very dangerous, even though everyone Sins, all the time, somehow, some way or other. God does not expect us to be Perfect, but He does expect us to Strive to be Perfect.
When we sin, we must ask for forgiveness, for that Sin.
For years, I wanted to do just what Patricia wanted to do, she wanted to do what she wanted when she wanted, how she wanted, but after a long time, it got worse.
Sin, creeps in in many different ways, through fear of being hurt, beaten, etc. and when I was married to a couple ex-husband’s, in my past I found myself, creeping into sin, whether it was lying, because I was so scared I’d get beaten, thrown around, or kicked in my ribs, my head beaten against a concrete wall, etc.
Not that I was really doing anything wrong, but it was the fact, I really couldn’t do anything without being scared.
Lying, and hiding things from one as in your husband, etc. is still a sin, some say it isn’t but it is, because you are not being totally honest with your spouse.
Now, something simple, etc. is different, but when it comes to a major decision or, maybe something that you know you was to do, and didn’t do it, or maybe something you said you’d do and you didn’t is still a sin, making promises and not keeping those promises, is still a sin.
When I got married for the first time, my brother, got us girls, into smoking pot, and drinking, and sinful activities, and that’s, where most of my sin started I believe, because I lied about what I was doing and why and how, etc. But, what I was doing was a sin, no matter how it was put or done, I was still sinning.
Having a Bad attitude is a sin, being hateful is a sin, being proud is a sin, being self-centered is a sin, drinking is a sin and getting drunk, lying, stealing, lustfulness, looking at dirty movies is a sin, rape and murder, adulteries, unwed pregnancies, and divorces; we can trivialize greed, selfishness, etc. No matter what we think isn’t a sin, is, when you really start looking into the bible, for what is sin.
Let’s look at some verses on Sin:
“So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which indwells me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is in my flesh; for the wishing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I wish, I do not do; but I practice the very evil that I do not wish. But if I am doing the very thing I do not wish, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wishes to do good” (Romans 7:17-21 NASV).
15 “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.
16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. Matthew 18:15-17
