Racism ,God’s Word On It
Racism is the ugly human tendency to fear or hate someone because their color or culture is different from our own.
I get so upset when people talk bad about other’s and either how they are dressed, or how they walk, what they look like, how big they are, what race they are, etc.
It is a crying shame people treat other’s so different and criticize them in everyway they can think of, and, they do not comprehend that “GOD MADE US ALL”!
Although the Old Testament includes warnings against mixing with foreign nations, the emphasis was on purity of worship-not racial hatred. The New Testament clearly teaches that all races are created by God and that Christ died for all, regardless of race or culture.
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT RACISM?
John 4:4-9 . . . She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?”
Although Samaritans were seen as “half-breeds” and hated by the Jews of his day, Jesus went out of his way to have a life-changing conversation with one sinful Samaritan woman.
Luke 10:30-37 . . . Then a despised Samaritan came along.
Jesus confounded his listeners by making a despised Samaritan the hero of one of his most famous parables.
Colossians 3:5-11 . . . In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile.
The church of Jesus Christ should be color blind.
Ephesians 2:11-18 . . . Christ himself has made peace between us Jews and you Gentiles by making us all one people. He has broken down the wall of hostility that used to separate us.
Christ died to destroy all the barriers of hostility that sin has created between people.
Galatians 3:26-29 . . . There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are all Christians-you are one in Christ Jesus.
Regardless of background, sex, or race, the presence of Christ in the lives of believers makes us all one in him. God, made each and everyone of us, I do not care from what country one came from what color their skin is, or their clothes or how they talk, or how big they are, it doesn’t matter to me……..WE ARE ALL THE SAME…… GOD CREATED US ALL and Different Origins!
