“How Do I Practice Godliness”

Knowing God leads to godliness wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ

To be as much like God as possible, to seek to build our character traits as much like the character of God-this is godliness.

But godliness is more than being like God. It is practicing a closer walk with God. As goodness is more than the absence of badness, so godliness is more than the absence of worldliness, materialism, hedonism, and other “isms.” Godliness is the practice of the presence of God in all we are and all we do.

HOW DO I PRACTICE GODLINESS?

1 Timothy 6:3 . . . These are the sound, wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, and they are the foundation for a godly life.

2 Peter 1:5-9 . . . Knowing God . . . leads to godliness. When we build on the foundation of God’s Word and yield our ways to God’s ways, we allow God to produce in us his good fruits of godliness.

ROMANS 1:18…….For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

ROMANS 11:26……And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

1 TIMOTHY 2:2……For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all GODLINESS and honesty.

1 TIMOTHY 2:10……..But (which becometh women professing GODLINESS) with good works.

1 TIMOTHY 3:16……..And without controversy great is the mystery of GODLINESS: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
