What God Says About His Rewards 1
GOD’S WORD ON REWARDS
Some rewards are natural consequences for wise or foolish behavior. Productivity on the job brings a bonus or raise, while ineffectiveness, laziness, or unethical practices bring dismissal.
Some rewards are intangible, like the inner satisfaction one feels after an act of generosity or compassion.
The Bible includes examples and illustrations of each. The greatest reward it talks about, however, is not earned but received as a gift-the gift of eternal life. God tells us in His word, that if we Obey His Commandments and do what He asks us to do, we shall reap the rewards.
There are so many which talk bad about Christians, because they live in nice homes, have nice cars, have nice clothing, nice material things, boats etc. and they talk bad about them; which they shouldn’t not at all.
God REWARDS those who diligently seek him and do His work, and obeys Him, that does not mean they are bad Christians because they are being awarded by GOD ALMIGHTY! I have listed verses which just may help you understand the purpose of Getting REWARDED by God for doing what He wants us to do, to Help Him bring others to Him, and when we give to the Kingdom of God, God blesses us back.
DOES GOD PROMISE TO REWARD THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIM
Psalm 128:1-6 . . . That is the Lord’s reward for those who fear him.
A life of obedience and wisdom brings natural rewards
James 1:12 . . . God blesses the people who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Revelation 11:18 . . . It is time to judge the dead and reward your servants.
Our greatest reward is eternal life with God.
Ezekiel 18:20 . . . Righteous people will be rewarded for their own goodness.
In addition to salvation, God does promise to reward his people on the basis of deeds.
Hebrews 11:6 . . . Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
Seeking God brings the reward of experiencing his presence.
Matthew 6:1-18 . . . I assure you, that is the only reward they will ever get.
The rewards of insincere spirituality are paltry when compared to those of genuine faith.
Romans 2:1-11 . . . You are storing up terrible punishment for yourself because of your stubbornness in refusing to turn from your sin.
The reward of sin is separation from God.
Ephesians 2:9 . . . Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Salvation is not a reward for good works, but the gift of God as the reward for faith.
1 Timothy 4:6-8 . . . Spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next.
At the end of his life and ministry Paul looked forward to the eternal reward of heaven.
PROMISES FROM GOD:
Psalm 84:11 . . . No good thing will the Lord withhold from those who do what is right.
God rewards those who work hard to do right.
Jeremiah 7:23 . . . Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Only do what I say, and all will be well!
Obedience brings great rewards
Hebrews 4:9 . . . There is a special rest still waiting for the people of God.
Revelation 3:12 . . . All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it.
God has great rewards for those who remain faithful to the end.
