Are You Bold Like a Lion, Or Gentle Like a Lamb
Are You Bold Like a Lion, Or Gentle Like a Lamb
When our hearts faint, we tend to tell ourselves we can’t do something because it’s just to hard, or we don’t know how. Being faithful believers and servants of the Lord we should keep telling ourselves we can, if we are going to be faithful believers in the Kingdom Of God. We cannot be quitters when things get rough, we need to be as bold as a lion!
Being bold, does not mean we should be tough and harsh. We can still be loving and tender-hearted and tough at the same time. The main key is to know when to be tender and when to be tough. We are to be meek, sweet and gentle towards people, but we are to be bold, and tough and aggressive with the devil—- because that is surely the way he is with us.
Jesus, was humble, He was meek, gentle and kind, not hard or sharp, nor was He pressing. We should always resist satan and his evil demons and all the evil works like a bold lion, but when dealing with the people we should be gentle, sweet and kind, full of meekness.
The Holy Spirit, is very gentle, and sensitive. If we are harsh and hard on people we offend the Holy Spirit.
When we are ugly, and rude to people it don’t just hurt and offend them, and the Holy Spirit, but you are hurting Jesus Christ as well. So, if we are kind, meek and sweet to other’s we are satisfying God and making other’s feel loved also.
So, the question is this: “Are you bold as a lion or are you gentle like a lamb?”
You just may be timid, shy and gentle and meek as a lamb, preferring to avoid harsh or controversial issues. So, God has put a bit of lion inside you.
The Suffering Servant Isaiah 53:7
6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?
You may have a strong lion in you, and need to have lamb qualities developed inside you.
It doesn’t matter what your temperament maybe, because we all face the call of the lion, even when we all call out for the lamb. When we feel like we can’t do something-feeling faint-hearted, we must dig in our heels like “Joyce Meyer says, and exclaim in lion-like faith.”
Tell yourself, “I’m not going to be faint-hearted! God will help me! I am Not going to give up or quit, no matter how hard it gets, I’m going forward!”
