Are You Looking Up?
Are You Looking Up?
2 Chronicles 32:22-26
We have read about a proud man called “Hezekiah” (King) and also the prophet Isaiah. Remember reading about how sick he became, because he became proud – to proud?
The Lord, intervened because of his and Judahs enemies. Hezekiah was then lifted up in the Lord’s sight of the people. There are things God loves and there are things which God hates, and a proud look was not one of the things God loves.
God, isn’t against prosperity, or people looking up to us, but He is against the proud and haughty looks many get from it. When chosen ones became leaders – people do tend to look up to them, and honor them, They soon want to do things for you, give you things. But, when we choose to become proud, and haughty, that is what’s bad and believe it or not “IT’S A SIN.”
This choice can be and is dangerous!
Just like it happen to “King Hezekiah” with the people’s admiration for their leaders, this can become a deal of pride, especially if it’s not controlled.
What’s bad is “King Hezekiah”, became really ill which he almost died, because of it. But, he humbles himself and repented to God, for all his sins, and proud heart.
Once, he did that everything –– started getting better and straightened out. When he turned to God and repented to God. He began to honor and promote and bless him again.
This is what happens to people who repent of their sins and they seek God and forgiveness with this whole heart.
When people look up to you, don’t become proud and haughty –– because as what happened to “King Hezekiah”,
It can become very dangerous. God, will end up dealing with you about your pride. If, you do repent of it right then, so God can continue to bless you, so you don’t loose God’s blessings and favor, He wants to give you!
