Use It Or Loose It
“Use It Or Loose It“
Matthew 24:14-15
Are You Going To Use It Or Loose It?
Matthew 25:14-15, Jesus tells us a story of a man who was going on a long journey. He called all of His servants together and He gave them different amounts of money to handle according to their abilities.
We do not have the same abilities and talents as other’s do. We all cannot do the same things the same way, and people who try to be like someone else in what they do, will never be able to do what the other one they are trying to be like.
But, we all can be what God wants us to be and do individually. Some people who look up to people in their lives, try so hard to be like that person, but unless you are called by God, and He gave you that talent then you won’t be able to do it.
Don’t never try to be like someone else, that you aren’t, just because someone does something special or knows how to do something you don’t, don’t waste your time and energy trying to be like them, it will NOT work. You cannot be like me and I cannot be like you.
We all can be all that God wants us to be!
There are so many people who get frustrated and angry because they are trying so hard to do and be as another person, and God hasn’t called that person to do what they are trying to do, to be like the other person.
They become so miserable and frustrated trying so hard to use talents they don’t have that they have missed the calling or mark in their lives. They never feel fulfilled or at peace with themselves or with what they are trying so hard to do. They loose sight of what God really wants them to do in their life.
Some let the devil talk them out of it, or allows others to do the talking and persuading them to quit what they do know God wants them to do. This is what happened to one of the servants that Jesus was talking about in Matthew 25.
The man who was going on the journey gave talents to three of His servants before he left. While he was gone, one invested his and received back with interest! When the man returned and found out what the servant did, he said “Well done, you (upright honorable, admirable) and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little! I will put you in charge of much.” Matthew 25:21
The second servant did the same as the first, and he was in charge of much, same was told to him. But, the third servant buried his talent in the ground because he was afraid. When the man found out what he did, he was really upset with him, and gave it to the servant who had 10 talents. Matthew 25:24-28
There are so many people who are like that one servant. They hide their own talents or try to be like others with talents they want to be, because they are afraid or lazy, afraid of responsibility, afraid of judgment, afraid of what people will think of them if they are not like someone else, or if they are not like someone else. Afraid, to step out on their own, afraid of criticism, afraid of how other’s will look at them.
Do NOT ever be afraid of using the talents which God gave you, they are special talents and you are the only one who can use them like God wanted you to. He gave you your talents for a good reason , so don’t let them just lay there and die. Don’t never try to be like someone else, if your talents are typing then type, if your talents are videos, then do videos, (the right kind) if your talents are cooking then cook for someone, if your talents are graphics and web design then do that, like I do, if God gave you something which you like doing and you know how to do, then you have your answer right there…. Do it!!!!
Otherwise, until you do your own talents, you will be miserable until you take your talents God gave you and put them to use! 🙂
