Mourning –– Sadness Over a Loss
Mourning –– Sadness Over a Loss
When David’s son died, he got up and he went on with his life. But, while his some was sick, he mourned he wouldn’t eat, he didn’t want to be around anyone. But, when the news came in that his son had died, that’s when he got up and said , “When my child was sick, I did everything I could to save him, now that he is dead, there is nothing more I can do, why should I sit around mourning over something I cannot change? It’s better for me if I get up and get on with my life.”
Bless my mothers heart, we lost my daddy in April 2004, and to this day in 2014 my mother still mourns for my daddy. My daddy was an awesome daddy, he loved my mother so very much, and he worked so hard, he was working 3 jobs and they raised 7 kids, 4 of their own and then 3 of my oldest sister’s girls.
But, their marriage was bonded through the blessings of God and to this day my mother keeps mourning for him,
When, she starts thinking about him, and what a wonderful man he was, I always remind her, we will see him again, and he will be meeting us at the gate.
Even though we are to mourn for only a period of time, she loved him so much, her heart still aches for him. God, doesn’t want us to mourn the rest of our lives, but live happily. Our grief tends to hold on to us, if we allow it to. But, we have to let go at some point and allow God to mend us.
So, ask God today to help you through your grief and He will!!!
