The 7 Spirits of God
The 7 Spirits of God
For some odd reason, this was partially done, and I’m not sure where the rest is, I am wondering why it wasn’t finished before it was saved to the flash. But, I am going to try to add as much as I can on this. I got permission from a website to be able to use some of their information.
I just got word back from Brother Brad at The Holy Spirit website. I have included the link in his name if you wish to jump over there. Thanks again Brother Brad for allowing me to use some of this information to complete this web page, again God Bless You!
Did, you know that the “7” is sacred? It’s the Number of Perfection! And the Hebrew people hold this number as in the Perfection of God and all things created by God.
The number “7” symbolizes, perfection, holiness, fullness, abundance, rest and completion.
In Isaiah 11:2, it gives the Spirits of :
The Spirit of The Lord
The Spirit of Wisdom
The Spirit of Understanding
The Spirit of Knowledge
The Spirit of Counsel
The Spirit of Might
The Spirit of the Fear of The Lord
All 7 Spirits are all “One Holy Spirit” in different manifestations.
Revelations 4:5, speaks to us about seven spirits of God that are before God’s throne. Revelations 1:4, 3:1, 5:6.
We find Revelations 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
Revelations 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Revelations 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
We know there is only ‘Holy Spirit”, this reference to the seven fold “Holy Spirit” shows us that He has various ways of manifesting and expressing Himself among us to bring fullness to our lives.
Just as the Trinity is one God in three persons, so the Holy Spirit is one Spirit with different operations or modes of expressions.
Four major names commonly used to denote the Holy Spirit today:
Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost
Spirit of God
Spirit of Christ
Comforter
There are many symbols – dove, fire, water, candlestick lamps but still there is One Holy Spirit
Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
The Seven Expressions in scripture are:
Spirit of Grace — Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of Grace?
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Spirit of Supplications — Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of Grace and of Supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Spirit of Life — Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Spirit of Adoption — Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of Adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Spirit of Holiness — Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Isaiah 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
Spirit of Truth — John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Spirit of Glory — 1 Peter 4:14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the Spirit of Glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
There are 7 Flames coming from the one candlestick holder.
Jesus was seen in the midst of: GRACE – LIFE – ADOPTION – HOLINESS – SUPPLICATIONS – TRUTH – GLORY
