What Is Perfection<\/span><\/p>\n

Perfection<\/span><\/b> :<\/span><\/b> Number 4<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Perfection, is to strive to be perfect, like Jesus is. He is the only Perfect person there is other than the Father God. As you read more on
\n“Perfection”<\/b><\/span> there may be some areas which will be repeated from previous pages, that is because they are still in line with the subject of
\n“Perfection”<\/b><\/span> so please just read again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perfection<\/b>,<\/span> leads to bring , being like Christ. There are a few definitions of Perfections<\/b>, Flawlessness<\/b>,<\/span> etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perfection<\/b>,<\/span> is related to sanctification<\/b>, suggesting that relative perfection is presently attainable. While absolute sinless
\nperfection<\/span><\/b> is available only in eternity<\/b>, perfection<\/b> in the present is a goal worthy of aspiration (Philippians 3:12-15<\/b>) Paul’s<\/span>
\ndictum in (Philippians 3:16<\/b>) is programmatic: “only let us live up to what we have already attained.”<\/b> NIV<\/span>
\n<\/b><\/p>\n

\nPhilippians 3:12-15<\/b> I don\u2019t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection<\/b>! But I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be.<\/span><\/p>\n

13<\/b> No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,<\/span><\/p>\n

14\u00a0<\/b>I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us<\/span><\/p>\n

15<\/b> I hope all of you who are mature Christians will agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it<\/span>

Ephesians 13<\/b> until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God\u2019s Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to<\/span>
\nthe full stature of Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

14<\/b> Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or because someone has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth.<\/span><\/p>\n

15<\/b> Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the<\/span>
\nchurch.<\/span><\/p>\n

Waiting for perfection<\/b> can lead to procrastination<\/b>. We will never be truly perfect, so we will always be waiting.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 7:1<\/b> . . . We have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let<\/span>
\nus work toward complete purity because we fear God.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we come to know and respect who God is, we are encouraged to aim for the purity of his character in our own daily choices. To be like God, who is perfect, is the goal<\/span>. But as humans, we<\/span>
\nmust recognize that at our best we will fall far short of perfection<\/b>. God knows that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our perfection<\/b> is not a flawless imitation of God, but rather a discernible process of godly maturation. We look at our perfection<\/b> as<\/span>
\nthe \u201chalf full glass\u201d<\/b> rather than the \u201chalf empty glass.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Godliness is becoming more like him, even while falling far short of him. Becoming more like him is the \u201chalf full glass.\u201d<\/b> Falling far short, as humans, is the \u201chalf empty glass.\u201d<\/b> We are humans, not God, so we cannot be perfect as he is perfect<\/b>. Perfection is a process<\/span>, so if we do not strive for it, our lives will become more<\/span>
\nand more empty.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE DANGERS OF PERFECTIONISM?<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 7:20<\/b> . . . There is not a single person in all the earth who is always good and never sins.<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 3:23<\/b> . . . All have sinned; all fall short of God\u2019s glorious standard.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perfectionism<\/b>, defined as the absence of the presence of sin, is impossible for us to attain in our earthly human lives. Perfectionism strives for 100%<\/b>, and anything less is failure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Realism starts with 0% and any measure of godliness is to the good. Perfectionism sets hopeless goals and therefore breeds hopelessness as
\nwe fail to reach them.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 12<\/b> Don\u2019t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will<\/span>
\nknow what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 6:13<\/b> Do not let any part of your body become a tool of wickedness, to be used for sinning. Instead, give yourselves completely to God since you have been given new life. And use your whole body as a tool to do what is right for the glory of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

14\u00a0<\/b>Sin is no longer your master, for you are no longer subject to the law, which enslaves you to sin. Instead, you are free by God\u2019s<\/span>
\ngrace.<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalms 18:30<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for God, his way is perfect. All the Lord\u2019s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. <\/span><\/p>\n

32 God arms me with strength; he has made my way safe.<\/span><\/p>\n

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.<\/span><\/p>\n
