Perseverance Means Persistence<\/span><\/p>\n

Perseverance has been well defined as \u201ccourage stretched out.\u201d<\/span> Although God sometimes delivers his people from difficult or painful circumstances, he more often calls us to a courageous and enduring faithfulness in the midst of trials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perseverance<\/span>, according to the Bible, is not only enduring situations of suffering but overcoming them with obedience, hope, and joy.<\/span><\/p>\n

HOW DO I DEVELOP PERSEVERANCE IN MY LIFE?<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\nJoshua 6:1-20<\/b> . . . Your entire army is to march around the city once a day for six days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perseverance<\/span> is obeying even when God\u2019s way doesn\u2019t seem to make sense or produce results.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nehemiah 6:1-15<\/span> . . . I realized that God had not spoken to him. The Christian\u2019s task and the perseverance<\/span> to finish the task are rooted in God\u2019s call.<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 5:1-5<\/span> . . . We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us. When we see the potential that suffering has to produce character in our lives, we persevere<\/b> through it with God\u2019s help.<\/span><\/p>\n

Revelation 14:12<\/span> . . . Let this encourage God\u2019s holy people to endure persecution patiently. The key to perseverance<\/span> for the believer is having a clear view of the goal of heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 8:10-11<\/b> . . . I suggest that you finish what you started a year ago, for you were the first to propose this idea, and . . . the first to begin doing something about it. Now you should carry this project through to completion just as enthusiastically as you began it.<\/span><\/p>\n

IF WE ARE SAVED BY GRACE AND NOT BY WORKS, WHERE DOES PERSEVERANCE COME IN?<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

James 5:10-11<\/b> . . . We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. Perseverance<\/span> in good works does not produce salvation. Rather, perseverance<\/span> results from our faith in God.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Peter 1:5-8<\/b> . . . Patient endurance leads to godliness<\/span>. The Christian life begins with faith but grows through perseverance<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

James 1:2-4<\/b> . . . When your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. Perseverance<\/span> is what turns suffering into maturity.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROMISES FROM GOD:<\/span> Matthew 7:7<\/b> . . . Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. God honors persistence in prayer<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

John 15:5<\/b> . . . Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. Perseverance<\/span> in your faith leads to a productive life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Philippians 1:6<\/b> . . . I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. God never stops working in our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hebrews 3:14<\/b> . . . If we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Those who persevere<\/span> in their faith will share in heaven\u2019s riches.<\/span><\/p>\n

Revelation 3:5<\/b> . . . All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life. Those who persevere<\/b> in their faith will share in heaven\u2019s riches.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are to “STRIVE”<\/b> to be “PERFECT”<\/b> work hard to not to conform to the things of this world and the sin in it.<\/span><\/p>\n
