1\u00a0We can gather our thoughts, but the Lord gives the right answer.<\/span><\/p>\n

2\u00a0People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives.<\/span><\/p>\n

3\u00a0Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed.<\/span><\/p>\n

4\u00a0The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for punishment.<\/span><\/p>\n

5\u00a0The Lord despises pride; be assured that the proud will be punished.<\/span><\/p>\n

6\u00a0Unfailing love and faithfulness cover sin; evil is avoided by fear of the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

7\u00a0When the ways of people please the Lord, he makes even their enemies live at peace with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

8\u00a0It is better to be poor and godly than rich and dishonest.<\/span><\/p>\n

9\u00a0We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

10\u00a0The king speaks with divine wisdom; he must never judge unfairly.<\/span><\/p>\n

11\u00a0The Lord demands fairness in every business deal; he sets the standard.<\/span><\/p>\n

12\u00a0A king despises wrongdoing, for his rule depends on his justice.<\/span><\/p>\n

13\u00a0The king is pleased with righteous lips; he loves those who speak honestly.<\/span><\/p>\n

14\u00a0The anger of the king is a deadly threat; the wise do what they can to appease it.<\/span><\/p>\n

15\u00a0When the king smiles, there is life; his favor refreshes like a gentle rain.<\/span><\/p>\n

16\u00a0How much better to get wisdom than gold, and understanding than silver!<\/span><\/p>\n

17\u00a0The path of the upright leads away from evil; whoever follows that path is safe.<\/span><\/p>\n

18\u00a0Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.<\/span><\/p>\n

19\u00a0It is better to live humbly with the poor than to share plunder with the proud.<\/span><\/p>\n

20\u00a0Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

21\u00a0The wise are known for their understanding, and instruction is appreciated if it\u2019s well presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

22\u00a0Discretion is a life-giving fountain to those who possess it, but discipline is wasted on fools.<\/span><\/p>\n

23\u00a0From a wise mind comes wise speech; the words of the wise are persuasive.<\/span><\/p>\n

24\u00a0Kind words are like honey\u2014sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.<\/span><\/p>\n

25\u00a0There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.<\/span><\/p>\n

26\u00a0It is good for workers to have an appetite; an empty stomach drives them on.<\/span><\/p>\n

27\u00a0Scoundrels hunt for scandal; their words are a destructive blaze.<\/span><\/p>\n

28\u00a0A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends.<\/span><\/p>\n

29\u00a0Violent people deceive their companions, leading them down a harmful path.<\/span><\/p>\n

30\u00a0With narrowed eyes, they plot evil; without a word, they plan their mischief.<\/span><\/p>\n

31\u00a0Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained by living a godly life.<\/span><\/p>\n

32\u00a0It is better to be patient than powerful; it is better to have self-control than to conquer a city.<\/span><\/p>\n

33\u00a0We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
