Acts 1:26<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I know this isn’t a good excuse, but the one reason why I had quit going to church, is due to the fact of “hypocrites”<\/b> being in the church.<\/span><\/p>\n

They whisper behind your back about how one is dressed, they drink and gamble, they lie, and talk bad about others, and back stab other’s, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

And, I can enjoy spending times with God at home better than I can at church, because the churches seem to have become corrupt with people who love to cause mischief. But, I am beginning to get back into church if, my health and my mother’s health will stop getting in the way of us going.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are certain standards that the “Church”<\/b> was to be ran and how God expected it to be and it isn’t to be ran evilly or corrupted. For a church to be a success in God, they have to prepare and do as God wants them to do and how they are to teach Read Below!<\/span><\/p>\n

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Acts 1<\/b>, Luke was setting the stage for and previewing the material of the balance of the book of Acts. He included many of the ingredients for the successful spread of the gospel message:<\/span><\/p>\n

People<\/b> : People have always been God\u2019s plan for the delivery of his message (Acts 1:2<\/b>, 8<\/b>, 11<\/b>, 13-14<\/b>, 21-26<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Prayer<\/b> : Prayer was the first, best step in every decision of the early church (Acts 1:14<\/b>, 24-26<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Preparation<\/b> : The apostles demonstrated their knowledge of and belief in the importance of the Scriptures. God\u2019s Word should be learned, trusted, obeyed, and applied to life situations (Acts 1:1-4<\/b>, 7-8<\/b>, 16<\/b>, 20<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Power Christ\u2019s<\/b> promised Holy Spirit<\/b> power forms the basis of the church\u2019s ability to accomplish great things for him (Acts 1:8<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Promise<\/b> : The church must always live in the conscious reality of a returning Savior who will come back in the same way he departed (Acts 1:9-11<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Pattern<\/b> : Our task is not so much to be preachers as it is to be witnesses. A witness tells what he or she has seen and heard. We speak the news and spread the news (Acts 1:8<\/b>, 11<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n
