“Perspective Towards Your Money”<\/span><\/p>\n

Acts 25:1-2<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My husband still to this day has a problem with this one, no matter how many times I try to explain it to him. But, there may be plenty of people like my husband that does not like giving their money to anyone, which I can understand…. to a point that is.<\/span><\/p>\n

The only way I can explain this is like this:<\/span><\/p>\n

You don’t give to God you are in serious trouble, and in your heart and your mind….. why??<\/span><\/p>\n

Because, giving to God, is something like watching your bills just disappear and having the blessing of what God wants you to have. Many, people to this day including my husband, says: ” I am not giving my hard earned money to churches that does not do what they say they going to do.”<\/b> or maybe you have heard this one : “I work hard for my money and I’m not giving it to no church because they don’t put where they say.”<\/b> I can give you plenty of statement’s my husband has given me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mistake, is all I can say….. you are making a huge mistake, but not giving to churches and ministries in which are spreading the word of God around the world so everyone can know Him. When you give to God’s kingdom, you are opening the door to releasing His favor, His precious gifts to you…. NO<\/b>, this is NOT BUYING HIS FAVOR<\/b>, so don’t even go there… that is not even what I am saying.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you give to His Kingdom, you are storing treasures “YOUR TREASURES”<\/b> up in Heaven, and by helping other’s you are storing treasures in Heaven, by helping churches spread God’s word you are storing treasures in Heaven… no matter how you give, just count on GOD Knowing every penny every dime that you are using to help those in need.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have included several verses which may help you better understand the concept of giving and why below!<\/span><\/p>\n

MONEY, GOD\u2019S WORD ON<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

On the one hand money is neither good nor bad, but simply a neutral medium of exchange. Throughout the Bible we read matter-of-factly about money being earned, borrowed, and spent. On the other hand, money represents wealth, power, and status; as such, it has a tendency to wield extraordinary power over our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bible also has much to say about the love of money. This is not neutral, but sinful. Jesus goes so far as to identify money as a potential rival to God (Matthew 6:24). The Bible consistently teaches that money, like natural resources, material goods, or time itself, is ours to be used for the glory of God, not to take the place of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT IS A PROPER PERSPECTIVE TOWARD MONEY?<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 23:1<\/b> . . . The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew 6:24<\/b> . . . No one can serve two masters . . . You cannot serve both God and money.<\/span><\/p>\n

Luke 18:22-23<\/b> . . . Sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. The love of money can get our priorities out of line. We must keep reminding ourselves that God must be first in our lives and that money cannot satisfy our deepest needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Timothy 6:6-10<\/b> . . . The love of money is at the root of all kinds of evil.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hebrews 13:5<\/b> . . . Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, \u201cI will never fail you. I will never forsake you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 119:36<\/b> . . . Give me an eagerness for your decrees; do not inflict me with love for money! Money is not the root of all evil; the love of it is!<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 11:28<\/b> . . . Trust in your money and down you go!<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 55:2<\/b> . . . Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? . . . Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul! Too often we buy things to fill a void or a need in our lives. The Bible points to a way to acquire a deep and lasting happiness that always satisfies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 19:1<\/b> . . . It is better to be poor and honest than to be a fool and dishonest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 8:36<\/b> . . . How do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? No amount of money is worth it if it was gained deceptively or dishonestly. Taking advantage of others to make money is stealing. Those who do this lose far more than they could ever gain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew 6:31-33<\/b> . . . Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.<\/span><\/p>\n

Philippians 4:11-13<\/b> . . . I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little . . . I have learned the secret of living in every situation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Philippians 4:19<\/b> . . . This same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches. The Bible promises that God will supply all of our needs. The problem comes when our definition of \u201cneed\u201d<\/b> is different from God\u2019s. The first thing we must do is study God\u2019s Word to discover what he says we need for a fulfilling life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 12:41-44<\/b> . . . He called his disciples to him and said, \u201cI assure you, this poor widow has given more than all the others have given.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

1 John 3:17<\/b> . . . If one of you has money enough to live well, and sees a brother or sister in need and won\u2019t help them-how can God\u2019s love be in that person? Consistently and generously giving away our money might be the most effective way to keep us from loving it. When we see what giving does in the lives of others, needs are met in us that material possessions could never satisfy. This kind of giving measures our Christian love.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 3:9-10<\/b> . . . Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything your land produces. Then he will fill your barns with grain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Malachi 3:10<\/b> . . . \u201cBring all the tithes into the storehouse . . . If you do,\u201d<\/b> says the Lord Almighty, \u201cI will open the windows of heaven for you.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Luke 6:38<\/b> . . . If you give, you will receive.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 9:6<\/b> . . . The one who plants generously will get a generous crop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 21:20<\/b> . . . Fools spend whatever they get.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 28:19<\/b> . . . Hard workers have plenty of food.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew 25:14<\/b> . . . He called together his servants and gave them money to invest for him while he was gone.<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 4:12<\/b> . . . We have worked wearily with our own hands to earn our living.<\/span>
\n1 Thessalonians 4:12<\/b> . . . You will not need to depend on others to meet your financial needs. God urges us to be good stewards in earning, spending, and saving our money. He understands the importance of providing for the needs of our family and the future. But he also expects us to use our money generously to help others.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHY DO WE ALWAYS SEEM TO WANT TO ACCUMULATE MORE?<\/span><\/p>\n

Ecclesiastes 10:19<\/b> . . . A party gives laughter, and wine gives happiness, and money gives everything! We tend to think money is the answer to every problem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 10:17-23<\/b> . . . At this, the man\u2019s face fell, and he went sadly away because he had many possessions. We accumulate money because we trust money and wealth to bring us happiness. How much more happy and productive we could be if we set our minds to accumulating treasure in heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHY DON\u2019T I EVER SEEM TO HAVE ENOUGH?<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 55:1-2<\/b> . . . Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Because we foolishly spend our money on what does not satisfy the soul.<\/span><\/p>\n

Haggai 1:3-6<\/b> . . . Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins? Because we don\u2019t manage our money according to God\u2019s priorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Luke 12:13-21<\/b> . . . Don\u2019t be greedy for what you don\u2019t have. Real life is not measured by how much we own. If we depend on our wealth to bring security, there will never be enough.<\/span><\/p>\n

IS DEBT A SIN?<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew 18:21-34<\/b> . . . In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars. In teaching on forgiveness, Jesus uses this parable that seems to assume the lending or borrowing of money is not itself sinful, though the manner in which we respond to debt can be.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 22:7<\/b> . . . Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender. Although borrowing money is not, in itself, sinful, we are to be careful and wise in our borrowing so we don\u2019t become slaves to debt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proverbs 6:1-5<\/b> . . . If you co-sign a loan for a friend or guarantee the debt of someone you hardly know . . . get out of it if you possibly can! Debt is not a sin, but it is a dangerous thing. We are to avoid it whenever possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Romans 13:8<\/b> . . . Pay all your debts. Although incurring debt may not be sinful, the failure to repay a debt is.<\/span><\/p>\n

PROMISE FROM GOD:<\/span> Matthew 6:31-33<\/b> . . . Don\u2019t worry about having enough food or drink or clothing. Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.<\/span><\/p>\n
