Generally it is based on certain conditions agreed upon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Sometimes, as between God and man, it is unconditional. God&#8217;s covenants with man originate with Him, and generally consist of a promise based on the fulfillment of certain conditions. God has made eight Covenants with man. They all relate to the earth. Each one introduces a New Dispensation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Six of them were given to individual and representative men, as Adam, Noah and Abraham, and went into effect during their lives except the one given to David, which took effect at the birth of Jesus. Each one has a time element and expires at a certain time. Four of them are distinguished by a <b>&#8220;Sign.&#8221;<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"c8\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">COVENANT WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM GOD\u2019S COVENANTS?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b><span style=\"color: #e2341d;\">BIBLE READING:<\/span><\/b> <b>Genesis 9:1-17<\/b><br \/>\n<span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #418b4c;\">KEY BIBLE VERSE:<\/span> God said to Noah, <span class=\"c10\">\u201cYes, this is the sign of my covenant with all the creatures of the earth.\u201d<\/span> (<b>Genesis 9:17<\/b>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d;\">GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES<\/span> Noah stepped out of the ark onto an earth devoid of human life. But God gave him a reassuring promise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This covenant had three parts:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Never again will a flood do such destruction<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #666666; font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">as long as the earth remains, the seasons will always come as expected<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #666666;\">a rainbow will be visible when it rains as a sign to all that God will keep his promises<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The earth\u2019s order and seasons are still preserved, and rainbows still remind us of God\u2019s faithfulness to his Word.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b><span style=\"color: #e2341d;\">BIBLE READING:<\/span><\/b> <b>Genesis 12:1-9<\/b><br \/>\n<span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #3c9043;\">KEY BIBLE VERSE:<\/span> The LORD told Abram, <span class=\"c10\">\u201cLeave your country, your relatives, and your father\u2019s house, and go to the land that I will show you. I will cause you to become the father of a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and I will make you a blessing to others.\u201d<\/span> (<b>Genesis 12:1-2<\/b>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c11\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">MANY OF GOD\u2019S COVENANTS INCLUDE US<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">When God called Abram, he moved out in faith from Ur to Haran and finally to Canaan. God then established a covenant with Abram, telling him that he would found a great nation. Not only would this nation be blessed, God said, but the other nations of the earth would be blessed through Abram\u2019s descendants. Israel, the nation that would come from Abram, was to follow God and influence those with whom it came in contact. Through Abram\u2019s family tree, Jesus Christ was born to save humanity. Through Christ, people can have a personal relationship with God and be blessed beyond measure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">GOD\u2019S COVENANTS REQUIRE A PERSONAL RESPONSE<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">God promised to bless Abram and make him great, but there was one condition. Abram had to do what God wanted him to do. This meant leaving his home and friends and traveling to a new land where God promised to build a great nation from Abram\u2019s family. Abram obeyed, walking away from his home for God\u2019s promise of even greater blessings in the future. God may be trying to lead you to a place of greater service and usefulness for him. Don\u2019t let the comfort and security of your present position make you miss God\u2019s plan for you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b><span style=\"color: #e2341d;\">BIBLE READING:<\/span><\/b> <b>Luke 22:7-23<\/b><br \/>\n<span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #418b41;\">KEY BIBLE VERSE:<\/span> After supper he took another cup of wine and said, <i><span class=\"c13\" style=\"color: #e2341d;\">\u201cThis wine is the token of God\u2019s new covenant to save you-an agreement sealed with the blood I will pour out for you.\u201d<\/span><\/i> (<b>Luke 22:20<\/b>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">JESUS ESTABLISHED A NEW COVENANT BETWEEN US AND GOD<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In Old Testament times, God agreed to forgive people\u2019s sins if they brought animals for the priests to sacrifice. When this sacrificial system was inaugurated, the agreement between God and man was sealed with the blood of animals <b>Exodus 24:8<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">But animal blood did not in itself remove sin (<span class=\"c14\">only God can forgive sin<\/span>), and animal sacrifices had to be repeated day by day and year after year. Jesus instituted a <span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d;\"><span class=\"c14\" style=\"color: #e2341d;\">\u201cnew covenant\u201d<\/span><\/span> or agreement between humans and God. Under this new covenant, Jesus would die in the place of sinners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Unlike the blood of animals, his blood (<span class=\"c14\">because he is God<\/span>) would truly remove the sins of all who put their faith in him. And Jesus\u2019 sacrifice would never have to be repeated; it would be good for all eternity (<b>Hebrews 9:23-28<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The prophets looked forward to this new covenant that would fulfill the old sacrificial agreement (<b>Jeremiah 31:31-34<\/b>), and John the Baptist called Jesus <span class=\"c10\" style=\"color: #e2341d; font-weight: bold;\">\u201cthe Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world\u201d<\/span> (<b>John 1:29<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b><span style=\"color: #e2341d;\">BIBLE READING:<\/span><\/b> <b>Hebrews 8:1-13<\/b><br \/>\n<span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #39933f;\">KEY BIBLE VERSE:<\/span> Our High Priest has been given a ministry that is far superior to the ministry of those who serve under the old laws, for he is the one who guarantees for us a better covenant with God, based on better promises. (<b>Hebrews 8:6<\/b>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">GOD\u2019S NEW COVENANT IN CHRIST OFFERS US FORGIVENESS<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This passage contains a quotation from <b>Jeremiah 31:31-34<\/b> and compares the new covenant with the old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The old covenant was the covenant of law between God and Israel. The new and better way is the covenant of grace-Christ\u2019s offer to forgive our sins and bring us to God through his sacrificial death. This covenant is new in extent-it goes beyond Israel and Judah to all the Gentile nations. It is new in application because it is written in our hearts and minds. It offers a new way to forgiveness, not through animal sacrifice, but through faith. Have you entered into this new covenant and begun walking in the better way?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; color: #11549c; font-weight: bold; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Seven Conditions of this Covenant were:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">To Replenish the Earth with an earthly race of people, the first or Pre-Adamite Race having become extinct, through the earth having been thrown into a chaotic condition. <b>Gen. 1:2<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><b><\/b>To Subdue the Earth to the needs of the human race. What this means is not clear, unless it means to so control the forces of light, heat, electricity, gravitation, etc., as to enable man to use them to supply his needs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">To have Dominion Over the Animal Creation. Not over the domestic animals only, but over wild creatures as well. This is beautifully described in <b>Psa. 8:3-5<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><b><\/b>To Restrict Themselves to a <span class=\"c15\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Vegetable Diet.&#8221;<\/span> And from <b>verse 30<\/b> it would appear that the animal creation, before the Fall, was limited to a vegetable diet.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">To Till the Garden in which God had placed him. This was doubtless a pleasure and not a task. There was no curse upon the earth at that time. It was not until after the Fall that <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;thorns&#8221;<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><i><span class=\"c13\">&#8220;thistles&#8221;<\/span><\/i> and <span class=\"c10\">&#8220;weeds&#8221;<\/span><\/span> made the cultivation of the soil laborious. <b>Gen. 3:17-19<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><b><\/b>To Abstain From Eating of the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.&#8221;<\/span> Man was created innocent like the infant. He did not know what sin is. His environment was such that he would have remained innocent if he had obeyed God, and refused to eat of the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Tree&#8221;<\/span> which opened his eyes. The moment he ate of that <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Tree&#8221;<\/span> he broke the Covenant and knew the difference between good and evil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The punishment of disobedience, was Physical Depth And this would have happened to both Adam and Eve at once if God in His Grace had not intervened and instituted a new covenant, known as the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Adamic Covenant.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The <span class=\"c13\">&#8220;Adamic&#8221;<\/span> Covenant <\/b><b>Gen. 3:14-16<\/b><br \/>\nThis Covenant, like the first, was given to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden before their expulsion. It ushered in the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><i class=\"c16\">&#8220;Dispensation of Conscience.&#8221;<\/i><\/span> It was without conditions, and embodied a <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Curse&#8221;<\/span> and a <span class=\"c17\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Promise.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1. The <span class=\"c18\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Curse&#8221;<\/span> \u00a0The Curse was fourfold<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">a. <b>As to the Serpent<\/b> &#8211; The Serpent was Satan&#8217;s tool, and from being a most beautiful and attractive creature became a loathsome reptile. It still retains traces of its former beauty and grace. It was condemned to crawl upon its belly and eat dust.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">b. <b>As to the Woman &#8211;<\/b> Her state was changed in three particulars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>Multiplied Conception &#8211;<\/b> \u00a0If Adam and Eve had any children before the <b>&#8220;Fall&#8221;<\/b> it is not revealed. It is certain Cain was not conceived until after their expulsion from the Garden. <b>Gen. 4:1<\/b> By <b>&#8220;Multiplied Conception&#8221;<\/b> is probably meant that there would be several children born at a time. This would be necessary to rapidly replenish the earth. As a matter of necessity the children of the same parents intermarried, as there were no other human beings on the earth at that time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>Sorrowful Motherhood<\/b> &#8211; That is, child-birth was to be accompanied with much pain and anguish. If sin had not entered, child-birth would doubtless have been painless, and motherhood a pleasure and children a delight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>Headship of Man<\/b> &#8211; Woman was created the equal of man, but because she caused his fall she lost her equality and man was given the Headship over her. <b>Gen. 3:16<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">c. <b>As to the Man<\/b> &#8211; The ground was cursed for his sake, and whereas it had been a pleasure to look after the Garden, now he would have to secure a living from the soil by hard labor and the <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;sweat of his face,&#8221;<\/span> which would wear out his system and end in physical death.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">d. <b>As to the Ground<\/b> &#8211; Henceforth it was to be cursed with <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c14\">&#8220;thorns&#8221;<\/span> and <span class=\"c14\">&#8220;thistles.&#8221;<\/span><\/span> That is, with everything that would make the cultivation of the earth difficult.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">2. <b>The &#8220;Promise&#8221;<\/b> &#8211; The Promise was that the <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Seed&#8221;<\/span> of the Woman (Christ) should bruise the <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Serpent&#8217;s&#8221;<\/span> head, while his <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><i class=\"c16\">&#8220;seed&#8221;<\/i><\/span> should bruise Christ&#8217;s heel. Here is the Promise that Christ shall redeem the world from the power of Satan, and restore the human race and the Earth to their condition before the <b class=\"c19\">&#8220;Fall.&#8221;<\/b> This Covenant reaches until the Renovation of the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Earth by Fire.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The <span class=\"c13\">&#8220;Noahic&#8221;<\/span> Covenant <\/b><b>Gen. 8:20-9:17<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #3a9252;\">KEY BIBLE VERSE:<\/span> God said to Noah, <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\">\u201cYes, this is the sign of my covenant with all the creatures of the earth.\u201d<\/span> (<b>Genesis 9:17<\/b>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Man having proved himself a failure under the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Dispensation of Conscience,&#8221;<\/span> God sent a Flood to destroy the race from off the earth, sparing only Noah and his family. After the Flood Noah offered a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c10\">&#8220;sacrifice&#8221;<\/span><\/span> which was well pleasing to God, and God made an unconditional Covenant with Noah. And that the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;day&#8221;<\/span> and the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><i><span class=\"c13\">&#8220;night&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/span> and the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c10\">&#8220;seasons&#8221;<\/span><\/span> should not cease.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">That Noah and his descendants were to be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">That they should have dominion over the animal creation as before.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">That from that time they were not to be restricted to a <span class=\"c17\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;vegetable&#8221;<\/span> diet, but could eat meat if they drained the blood from it. <b>Vs 3-4<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The law of <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Capital Punishment&#8221;<\/span> was established. <b>Vs 6<\/b>. This has never been abrogated, though the manner of enforcing it has been more clearly laid down in the account of the Cities of Refuge. <b>Num. 35:1-3<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">That the earth shall never be destroyed again by the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;<span class=\"c10\">waters of a Flood.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Sign&#8221;<\/span> of this<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> <span class=\"c9\" style=\"color: #fd885d;\">Covenant is the Rainbow<\/span><\/span>, and the Covenant reaches until the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Renovation of the Earth by Fire, &#8220;<\/span> of which it is the Type.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The <span class=\"c13\">&#8220;Abrahamic&#8221;<\/span> Covenant<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Gen. 12:1-3<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Tower of Babel episode was a turning point in human history. <b>Gen. 11:1-3<\/b>\u00a0 Up to that time the human race was a unit. There was neither Jew nor Gentile. <b>The race had become idolatrous<\/b>. To remedy this God decided to call out an individual of the seed of Shem, and of him form a separated people and nation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The man selected was Abraham. The <b>&#8220;Call&#8221;<\/b> came to him while dwelling at Ur of the Chaldees, in Mesopotamia. He obeyed. The Covenant then made with him was afterwards enlarged and confirmed to his son, Isaac, ( <b>Gen. 26:1-3<\/b>, and in turn to his grandson Jacob (Israel), <b>Gen. 28:10-12<\/b>. The Covenant was unconditional and ushered in the Dispensation of the Family. It contained seven promises.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">MANY OF GOD\u2019S COVENANTS INCLUDE US<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">When God called Abram, he moved out in faith from Ur to Haran and finally to Canaan. God then established a covenant with Abram, telling him that he would found a great nation. Not only would this nation be blessed, God said, but the other nations of the earth would be blessed through Abram\u2019s descendants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Israel, the nation that would come from Abram, was to follow God and influence those with whom it came in contact. Through Abram\u2019s family tree, Jesus Christ was born to save humanity. Through Christ, people can have a personal relationship with God and be blessed beyond measure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The LORD told Abram, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\">\u201cLeave your country, your relatives, and your father\u2019s house, and go to the land that I will show you. I will cause you to become the father of a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and I will make you a blessing to others.\u201d<\/span><\/span> (<b>Genesis 12:1-2<\/b>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1. <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;<span class=\"c13\" style=\"color: #e2341d;\">I Will Make of Thee a Great Nation.&#8221;<\/span><\/span> This was to be fulfilled in a twofold way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">a. <b>Natural Posterity<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;<span class=\"c13\" style=\"color: #e2341d;\">As the dust of the earth.&#8221;<\/span><\/span> This has been fulfilled through Isaac and through Ishmael. <b>Gen. 17:20<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">b. <b>Spiritual Posterity<\/b> <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;As the stars of heaven.&#8221;<\/span> <b>Gal. 3:6<\/b>, <b>Gal. 3:7<\/b>, <b>Gal. 3:29<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">2.<span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\"><span class=\"c10\" style=\"color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;I Will Bless Thee<\/span>\u00a0This was fulfilled temporally in flocks and herds and lands. Gen. 13:14-16; Gen. 15:18-20; Gen. 24:34, Gen. 24:35. <span class=\"c14\" style=\"color: #e2341d;\">Abraham was also blessed spiritually<\/span>.<\/span> <b>Gen. 15:6<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">3.<span class=\"c10\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;And Make Thy Name Great&#8221;<\/span>\u00a0<\/span> Abraham, next to Christ, is the outstanding name in the Scriptures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">4.<span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;And Thou Shalt Be a Blessing&#8221;<\/span>\u00a0 Abraham was a blessing to the people of his own time and to the world, as through him came the chosen seed. <b>Gal. 3:14<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">5. <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d; font-style: italic;\">&#8220;I Will Bless Them That Bless Thee&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">6. <span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d;\"><span class=\"c10\" style=\"color: #e2341d; font-style: italic;\">&#8220;And Curse Him That Curseth Thee&#8221;<\/span><\/span> These last two have been wonderfully fulfilled in the past history of the Jewish people and will be more wonderfully fulfilled in the future. Every nation that has treated them well has been blessed and every nation that has mistreated them has suffered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">7. <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; color: #e2341d;\"><span class=\"c10\" style=\"color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;In Thee Shall All the Families of the Earth Be Blessed, &#8220;<\/span><\/span> This promise is fulfilled in Christ spiritually and shall be fulfilled temporality in the Millennium when the Gentile nations shall be blessed through Israel. <b>Deut. 28:8-10; Isa. 60:3-5, Isa. 60:11, Isa. 60:16<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">After Abraham&#8217;s faith had been tested in the offering up of Isaac this Covenant was reaffirmed and confirmed. <b>Gen. 22:15-17<\/b>. It was an Everlasting Covenant. <b>Gen. 17:1-3<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The <span class=\"c13\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Sign&#8221;<\/span> of this Covenant is <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c10\">&#8220;Circumcision&#8221;<\/span><\/span> ( <b>Gen. 17:9-11<\/b>), and the Covenant extends to the <span class=\"c18\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;End of Time, &#8220;<\/span> taking in the New Earth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">We must not forget that the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c14\">&#8220;Adamic&#8221;<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Noahic&#8221;<\/span> Covenants were not done away with or superseded by the <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Abrahamic&#8221;<\/span> Covenant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c14\">&#8220;Abrahamic&#8221;<\/span><\/span> Covenant is confined to the Hebrew Race, while the others cover the whole Gentile world. The Dispensations of <b>&#8220;Conscience&#8221;<\/b> and <b>&#8220;Human Government&#8221;<\/b> still continue as to the Gentiles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">GOD\u2019S COVENANTS REQUIRE A PERSONAL RESPONSE<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">God promised to bless Abram and make him great, but there was one condition. Abram had to do what God wanted him to do. This meant leaving his home and friends and traveling to a new land where God promised to build a great nation from Abram\u2019s family. Abram obeyed, walking away from his home for God\u2019s promise of even greater blessings in the future. God may be trying to lead you to a place of greater service and usefulness for him. Don\u2019t let the comfort and security of your present position make you miss God\u2019s plan for you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b><span style=\"color: #e2341d;\">BIBLE READING:<\/span><\/b> <b>Luke 22:7-23<\/b><br \/>\n<span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #369636;\">KEY BIBLE VERSE:<\/span> After supper he took another cup of wine and said, <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d;\">\u201cThis wine is the token of God\u2019s new covenant to save you-an agreement sealed with the blood I will pour out for you.\u201d<\/span> (<b>Luke 22:20<\/b>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The <span class=\"c13\">&#8220;Mosaic&#8221;<\/span> Covenant<\/b><br \/>\nThe <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Mosaic Covenant&#8221;<\/span> was given to Moses on Mt. Sinai, shortly after the Exodus from Egypt. It ushered in the <b>&#8220;Dispensation of Law.&#8221;<\/b> It was conditioned on obedience, and may be divided into three parts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1. <b>The Moral Law<\/b>. <b>Ex. 20:1-3<\/b> This consists of the <span class=\"c14\">Ten Commandments<\/span>.<br \/>\n2. <b>The Civil Law<\/b>. <b>Ex. 21:1-3:18<\/b><br \/>\n3. <b>The Ceremonial Law<\/b>. <b>Ex. 25:1-3:38<\/b> This includes the Tabernacle, the Priesthood, and the order of service. The <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Sign&#8221;<\/span> of this Covenant is the Sabbath. <b>Ex. 31:12-14<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This Covenant continued in force until the Jews were scattered at the destruction of Jerusalem in <b>A. D. 70<\/b>. It will be renewed when Israel is converted and restored to their own land, and will then be known as the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span class=\"c18\">&#8220;Palestinian Covenant, &#8220;<\/span><\/span> which Covenant ends with the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Renovation of the Earth by Fire.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The <span class=\"c13\">&#8220;Davidic&#8221;<\/span> Covenant <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">2 Samuel. 7:4-6<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This Covenant was given to King David, through Nathan the Prophet, at Jerusalem. It ushered in the <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Dispensation of Grace.&#8221;<\/span> It has but one condition, based on disobedience, this would lead to chastisement and postponement of the promise, but not its abrogation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The Covenant contains four promises:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1. <span class=\"c14\">A Davidic House<\/span> <b>Vs. 13<\/b> That is the posterity of David shall never be destroyed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">2. <span class=\"c14\">A Davidic Throne<\/span> <b>Vs. 13<\/b> The Kingdom of David shall never be destroyed. At present it is in abeyance, but it will be set up again. Since the <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Captivity&#8221;<\/span> but one King of the Davidic family has been crowned and He with <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;thorns&#8221;<\/span> ( <b>Matt. 27:29<\/b>), but He will receive the Kingdom and return when Israel&#8217;s chastisement is over, and the time comes to restore the Kingdom to David&#8217;s Son. <b>Luke 1:30-32<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">3. <span class=\"c14\">A Davidic Kingdom<\/span> David&#8217;s Son is to have an earthly <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;sphere of rule.&#8221;<\/span> It will be over the Millennial Earth. <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.&#8221;<\/span> <b>Psa. 72:1-3<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">4. <b>It Shall Be Unending<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span class=\"c13\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;<i><span style=\"color: #e2341d;\">Thine House and thy Kingdom shall be established Forever; thy Throne shall be established Forever.&#8221;<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span> <b>Vs. 16<\/b><br \/>\nThe <span class=\"c10\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Sign&#8221;<\/span> of this Covenant is a Son. <b>Luke 1:30-32<\/b>; <b>Luke 2:12<\/b> This Covenant extends to the <span class=\"c18\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #e2341d;\">&#8220;End of Time.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The <span class=\"c13\">&#8220;Palestinian&#8221;<\/span> Covenant <\/b><b>Deuteronomy\u00a0 30:1-3<\/b><br \/>\nThis Covenant was given to Israel through Moses and is conditioned on the repentance of Israel. It will go into elect after their return to Palestine and their repentance. It ushers in the <span class=\"c18\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Millennial Dispensation&#8221;<\/span> and ends with it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>The <span class=\"c13\">&#8220;New&#8221;<\/span> Covenant <\/b><b>Hebrews\u00a0 8:7-9<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This Covenant has not yet been made. It is to be made with Israel after they get back to their own land. It is promised in <b>Jer. 31:31-33<\/b>. It is unconditional, and will cover the Millennium and the New Heaven and New Earth. It is based on the finished work of Christ. <b>Matt. 26:28<\/b>. It has nothing to do with the Church and does not belong to this Dispensation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">It is the <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Eighth Covenant, &#8220;<\/span> and speaks of Resurrection and Eternal Completeness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c12\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"c7\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-shadow: rgba(23, 23, 23, 0.808) 1.4px 1.4px 0px; color: #e2341d; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">JESUS ESTABLISHED A NEW COVENANT BETWEEN US AND GOD<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In Old Testament times, God agreed to forgive people\u2019s sins if they brought animals for the priests to sacrifice. When this sacrificial system was inaugurated, the agreement between God and man was sealed with the blood of animals (<b>Exodus 24:8<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">But animal blood did not in itself remove sin (<span class=\"c10\">only God can forgive sin<\/span>), and animal sacrifices had to be repeated day by day and year after year. Jesus instituted a <span class=\"c14\" style=\"font-weight: bold;\">\u201cnew covenant\u201d<\/span> or agreement between humans and God. Under this new covenant, Jesus would die in the place of sinners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Unlike the blood of animals, his blood (<span class=\"c10\">because he is God<\/span>) would truly remove the sins of all who put their faith in him. And Jesus\u2019 sacrifice would never have to be repeated; it would be good for all eternity (<b>Hebrews 9:23-28)<\/b>. The prophets looked forward to this new covenant that would fulfill the old sacrificial agreement (<b>Jeremiah 31:31-34<\/b>), and John the Baptist called Jesus <span class=\"c10\">\u201cthe Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world\u201d<\/span> (<b>John 1:29<\/b>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"c6\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>BIBLE READING:<\/b> <b>Hebrews 8:1-13<\/b><br \/>\n<span class=\"c9\" style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #418b46;\">KEY BIBLE VERSE:<\/span> Our High Priest has been given a ministry that is far superior to the ministry of those who serve under the old laws, for he is the one who guarantees for us a better covenant with God, based on better promises.
