Now this is amazing…. I wrote several years ago, a poem just like this one (same title) and then through all my files from years 1999 and up to 2004 (Patricia Burnette) I had on my flash drives and older hard drives with old files find this. Apparently , someone had the same thoughts. So, I named this one <\/span><\/p>\n

“As I walk Through Life 2”.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As I Walk Through Life<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat you can do something in an instant
\nthat will give you heartache for life.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat it’s taking me a long time to
\nbecome the person I want to be.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
\nIt may be the last time you see them.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat you can keep going long after you can’t.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat we are responsible for what we do,
\nno matter how we feel.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat either you control your
\nattitude or it controls you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship
\nis at first, the passion fades and there had
\nbetter be something else to take its place.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat heroes are the people who do what has to
\nbe done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat money is a lousy way of keeping score.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat my best friend and I can do anything
\nor nothing and have the best time.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat sometimes the people you expect to kick you
\nwhen you’re down will be the ones to help you get back up.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be
\nangry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat true friendship continues to grow, even over
\nthe longest distance. Same goes for true love.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat just because someone doesn’t love you the
\nway you want them to doesn’t mean they
\ndon’t love you with all they have.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat maturity has more to do with what types of
\nexperiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned
\nfrom them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat your family won’t always be there for you. It may
\nseem funny, but people you aren’t related to can take
\ncare of you and love you and teach you to
\ntrust people again. Families aren’t biological.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat no matter how good a friend is, they’re going
\nto hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others,
\nSometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat our background and circumstances may have
\ninfluenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat just because two people argue, it doesn’t
\nmean they don’t love each other. And just
\nbecause they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat we don’t have to change friends
\nif we understand that friends change.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret,
\nIt could change your life forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat two people can look at the exact same thing
\nand see something totally different.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat your life can be changed in a matter of minutes,
\nby people who don’t even know you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat even when you think you have no more to give,
\nwhen a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat credentials on the wall do not
\nmake you a decent human being.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve learned-
\nthat the people you care about most
\nin life are taken from you too soon.<\/span><\/p>\n
