For the choir director: A psalm of David.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1 \u00a0In times of trouble, may the Lord respond to your cry. May the God of Israel keep you safe from all harm.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 \u00a0May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 \u00a0May he remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. Interlude<\/span><\/p>\n

4 \u00a0May he grant your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 \u00a0May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory, flying banners to honor our God. May the Lord answer all your prayers.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 \u00a0Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed king. He will answer him from his holy heaven and rescue him by his great power.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 \u00a0Some nations boast of their armies and weapons, but we boast in the Lord our God.<\/span><\/p>\n

8 \u00a0Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm.<\/span><\/p>\n

9 \u00a0Give victory to our king, O Lord! Respond to our cry for help.<\/span><\/p>\n

A psalm of David.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1 \u00a0The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 \u00a0He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 \u00a0He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 \u00a0Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 \u00a0You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 \u00a0Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

1 \u00a0My heart overflows with a beautiful thought! I will recite a lovely poem to the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.<\/span><\/p>\n

2 \u00a0You are the most handsome of all. Gracious words stream from your lips. God himself has blessed you forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

3 \u00a0Put on your sword, O mighty warrior! You are so glorious, so majestic!<\/span><\/p>\n

4 \u00a0In your majesty, ride out to victory, defending truth, humility, and justice. Go forth to perform awe-inspiring deeds!<\/span><\/p>\n

5 \u00a0Your arrows are sharp, piercing your enemies hearts. The nations fall before you, lying down beneath your feet.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 \u00a0Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. Your royal power is expressed in justice.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 \u00a0You love what is right and hate what is wrong. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.<\/span><\/p>\n

8 \u00a0Your robes are perfumed with myrrh, aloes, and cassia. In palaces decorated with ivory, you are entertained by the music of harps.<\/span><\/p>\n

9 \u00a0Kings’ daughters are among your concubines. At your right side stands the queen, wearing jewelry of finest gold from Ophir!<\/span><\/p>\n

10 \u00a0Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say. Forget your people and your homeland far away.<\/span><\/p>\n

11 \u00a0For your royal husband delights in your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

12 \u00a0The princes of Tyre will shower you with gifts. People of great wealth will entreat your favor.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 \u00a0The bride, a princess, waits within her chamber, dressed in a gown woven with gold.<\/span><\/p>\n

14 \u00a0In her beautiful robes, she is led to the king, accompanied by her bridesmaids.<\/span><\/p>\n

15 \u00a0What a joyful, enthusiastic procession as they enter the king’s palace!<\/span><\/p>\n

16 \u00a0Your sons will become kings like their father. You will make them rulers over many lands.<\/span><\/p>\n

17 \u00a0I will bring honor to your name in every generation. Therefore, the nations will praise you forever and ever.<\/span><\/p>\n
