2 Peter 3:14 . . . While you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to live a pure and blameless life. And be at peace with God.

2 Corinthians 7:1 . . . Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete purity because we fear God.

2 Corinthians 2:15 . . . Our lives are a fragrance presented by Christ to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those being saved and by those perishing. We should strive to be perfect in our holiness.

1 John 4:12, 18 . . . No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us . . . Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of judgment, and this shows that his love has not been perfected in us. We should strive to be perfect in our love.

His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. We should strive to be perfect in the way we pursue peace.

HOW DO WE MEET GODíS EXPECTATIONS FOR US?

Colossians 1:22 . . . Now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

2 Timothy 3:16, 17 . . . All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is Godís way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. We meet Godís expectations by knowing him and his ways through his Word.

Hebrews 6:1 . . . Let us stop going over the basics of Christianity again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we donít need to start all over again with the importance of turning away from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.

Ephesians 4:11-12 . . . He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip Godís people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. We meet Godís expectations by growing and ministering to others.

PROMISE FROM GOD: James 1:17 . . . Whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God above, who created all heavenís lights. Unlike them, he never changes or casts shifting shadows. Coming into Christís presence will be more wonderful than we could ever imagine!

We are to "STRIVE" to be "PERFECT" work hard to not to conform to the things of this world and the sin in it.
