Do I Practice Godliness"
To be as much like God as possible, to seek to build our character
traits as much like the character of God-this is godliness.
But godliness is more than being like God. It is practicing a closer
walk with God. As goodness is more than the absence of badness, so godliness is more
than the absence of worldliness, materialism, hedonism, and other “isms.”
Godliness is the practice of the presence of God in all we are and all we do.

1 Timothy 6:3 . . . These are the sound, wholesome teachings of
the Lord Jesus Christ, and they are the foundation for a godly life.
2 Peter 1:5-9 . . . Knowing God . . . leads to godliness. When
we build on the foundation of God’s Word and yield our ways to God’s ways, we allow
God to produce in us his good fruits of godliness.
