God Has A Strong Arm
2 Chronicles 32:7-8
We all at some point in our lives find ourselves depending on the flesh, depending on someone. Someone to help get us through, someone to do things, act certain ways, etc.
Attitudes, that really stink when our lives become so busy, so full of problems, heartaches, disappointments, our own failures, mistakes we’ve made, our fears. And, we end up depending on, counting on the flesh whether in us or in someone else.
We all need to stop –– looking and depending on the flesh, because it will get us in big-time trouble.
We all need to place our trust in the “Lord God” His own wisdom, His power and His strength, His Love for us.
No matter what we face, I’ve faced tons of issues, problems , health issues, etc. But, by my putting my trust in the Lord, I’ve made it through in flying colors! Watch this:
When the Assyrians were of great strength to invade Judah and lay siege to Jerusalem , the King Hezekiah inspired courage in the people with some stirring words of encouragement and advice. “Don’t trust in the arm of the flesh, but trust in the Lord.” 2 Chronicles 32:7-8
We all need to be reminding ourselves of this each time we want to depend on the arms of the flesh when we can depend on God’s Strong Arm to always get us through. I am a witness to this. I depend on Him in all things, because I know deep in my heart I can.
Because I know He’s always there for me, and waiting and wanting to help me in all ways I need it.
If, we keep leaning on the arms of the flesh, all we going to find is evil at our doors. In, Jeremiah 17:5-8, reads – that those who put their trust in the arm of the flesh are cursed with “great evil.”
They are like a plant in the desert that is dry and destitute. They will not see any good happen. But, those who put their trust in the Arms of the Lord, are blessed. They are like a tree planted by a river that produces fruit, even in the midst of a drought.
No matter what comes they will flourish and not be anxious. Jeremiah also says, “ Blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence in the Lord is.” Jeremiah 17:7
We must and need to put our trust in God’s strong Arms and not the flesh!
I have one struggle that I am having a hard time with and it is of the flesh and I ask The Lord to help me with it, all the time. Always be determined to count on the Lord, even if you feel He isn’t there, even though He is. 2 Chronicles 32:31
